ORTAOKUL ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN OKUDUĞUNU ANLAMADA ÖZETLEME STRATEJİLERİNİ KULLANMA BECERİLERİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Özet

In this study, summarizing skills of secondary school students were examined. Document analysis method was used in the design which is designed according to qualitative approach. The study group of study consisted of 380 students studying in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th classes of two state schools in the district of Rize, Çayeli. The summaries from the students were examined by the researchers using a nine-item form, which was determined by searching the relevant literature. The data were analyzed using content analysis from qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, it was determined that middle school students summarize storytelling and informative texts and most of them use short texts and titling strategies.
