Kaşgarlı Mahmut revealed Turkish in Dįvānü Luġāti’t-Türk, which was spoken in the 11th century in Turkish world. In the work, Turkish vocabulary is revealed in a wide range from basic words to animal names, from private names to architectural words. There are words that we can find both in historical Turkish dialects and in contemporary dialects as well as words that we have found only in Dįvānü Luġāti’t-Türk. It is seen that the hapax legomenon shown in the Çiğil vocabulary in Dįvānü Luġāti’t-Türk possesses different qualities than the words considered as hapax legomenon in the other dialects because of their very different characteristics in terms of shape and origin information.
