Abstract

EVALUATION OF THE PUNISHMENT OF DÜŞKÜNLÜK IN ANATOLIAN ALEVISM IN TERMS OF HISTORY OF RELIGIONS
The Alevis has moved away from the institutional and resident structure of the center due to political, social, religious and cultural reasons in historical duration. As a result, The Alevis have established a number of rules for maintaining their own structure, adopting a sense of right and justice to their members, and protecting their social unity and solidarity. These rules are an customary law that is formed within the framework of their own tradition and customs as well as formal / written law. The understanding of “düşkünlük” in Alevis can be considered as one of these rules. The understanding of düşkünlük has taken on an active role in the functioning of an autocontrol between the members of Alevism, both ensuring social order and the transfer of Alevism to future generations. Religions aim to attain people to social peace and eternal salvation in the context of faith, worship and moral principles they have. In accordance with this purpose, as an individual of society a person must obey social and moral rules included in the written texts of the religions, in relation to himself, his surroundings and other members of society. In our study, we try to compare understanding of moral, located in the sacred texts of all religions with undertanding of düşkünlük in Alevism in the context of History of religions. We will also try to explain the distinctive features of the moral principles of religions and their importance on social life.
