AXEL OLRİK’İN EPİK YASALARI IŞIĞINDA SEGREK DESTANI

Özet

The work of the Danish folklorist Axel Olrik, published in 1909, entitled “The Epic Laws of Folk Narratives” occupies an important place in folklore research. Although these Olrik's laws were criticized by some folklorists, they have created the basis for the theories that will emerge later on. Axel Olrik built a theoretical framework by gathering his findings in fifteen related articles in order to reveal that the most important cultural products of social memory were preserved. In the context of this theoretical framework, it has been seen that the public narratives resemble each other in whatever space and level they are formed.
