ARŞÎ DİVANI’NDA FAZLULLAH-I HURÛFÎ İLE İLGİLİ TESPİTLER

Özet

Arşi lived in the end of the 16th century and in the first half of the 17th centuries. There is no information in the sources about his real name and his family. He is a lodge (Islamic monastery) poet who has embraced the faith of Hurufism. He connected to Muhiti, who is one of the poet of Hurufism and became his dervish. There are both religious and non-religious poems in his Divan. He dealed with the faith of Hurufism, voiced the principles of this belief, tried to spread this belief and advise his interlocutors in his poems in Divan. No previous study was found on how Fazlullah-i Hurufi, the founder of Hurufism and a very valuable person according to its members, was characterized by poets who embraced this belief. Therefore, this study addressed and analyzed the Divan of Arşi, a Hurufi poet, to fill this gap in divan (Ottoman) poetry research. In addition, the paper aimed at contributing to more general studies on Fazlullah-i Hurufi.
