Özet

The purpose of this study is to determine the misuse of false analogies, which are used as a result of an immediate need and in the form of accidentally derived structures, among the learners of Turkish as a foreign language and under what conditions they learn them. In addition, it is aimed to get perceptions of the participants about the effect of other languages on Turkish vocabulary. This research was carried out as a case study which is a qualitative research method. In the collection of the data, structured interview technique which is one of the qualitative research techniques has been used. In this context, the opinions of 113 foreign students were taken. In the light of the data analyzed by descriptive statistics, we concluded that the students learn false analogies by 22% from their social environment and by reading, 17% from their social environment / other stated areas, 15% from what they read, 12% from somewhere which was stated as ‘other’.
