ANTALYA’NIN İLK DERGİLERİ YENİ HAYAT VE DOĞU ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME

Özet

The art and literature magazine Doğu has an important place in the press life -started in the 1920s and continues until today- of Antalya. Doğu which was printed by Niyazi Recep Bey and Doctor Cemil Süleyman on 1921, is one of the periodicals published in Antalya during this period. The magazine- set out with the aim of being "a sincere companion to young friends in national emotions and professional activities"- devoted its first pages to the writings and poems of Mehmet Emin Yurdakul who was presented as "our idea father and national poet". Thus, Doğu, which puts its broadcasting policy on a national line, has continued this aim in the later numbers, and despite its short-term publication, it has gained an important place in the history of Antalya press. In this study, an introduction and review will be made by taking into account the numbers of Doğu and Yeni Hayat, the first literary and art magazines of Antalya.
