The fact that individuals have basic language skills together with technological developments alone does not make any sense. Individuals should be able to see the difference between truth and claim in order to reach accurate and reliable information by taking basic language skills to critical level. A document review was conducted in order to determine the criteria to be taken into consideration in evaluating visual materials with a critical approach. In this respect, when examining the visual materials in the sample in order to determine the criteria to be taken into consideration in evaluating the visual materials with a critical approach, “are propaganda techniques being used over the written message?”, “Are propaganda techniques being used through design?”, “Are propaganda techniques being used over color selection?”, “What are the ways of protection from the propaganda techniques used?” answers to his questions have been sought.
