The concept of childhood is a social structure evaluated from different viewpoints in every society. Also, proverbs giving important clues related to culture of society reflect existence of every society and are formed to their own experiences. In the study, it is aimed to be revealed how to include the concepts of child and childhood in Turkish proverbs. The research has been figured as case study in the qualitative research model. Study material of the research consists of 77 proverbs in Atasözleri Sözlüğü I (Dictionary of Proverbs I) written by Aksoy (2015). Criterion sampling method has been used in determining proverbs. It is one of the purposive sampling methods. In this study, data has been collected with document review. Content analysis and semiotics analysis have been done. When results of the research have been evaluated, it is seen that look to childhood has been reflected by many positive and negative in proverbs thought as a reflection of our culture.
