Abstract

THE STORY OF MIHR U MAH WRITTEN PROSE IN TURKISH LANGUAGE
Mihr u Mah narratives were written both in Turkish and Persian as verse and prose. The first samples of narratives in both culture are seen in 16th century. There are scientific studies based on four Mihr u Mah narratives of Classical Turkish Literature poets Âlî, Kıyâsî, Zarîfî and Cebrî. It is also known from the sources that Necâtî and Azmi-zâde Haletî have works titled Mihr u Mah. Written in Persian and has only one sample, Mihr u Mah narrative was introduced to science world with Turkish summary. One of the prose Mihr u Mah narratives were written in West Turkish dialect. Titled as “Kitab-ı Mihr Mah”, which reflects Azerbaijan Turkish language features, the narrative can be considered as a folk narrative due to its technique. This essay will introduce the narrative titled “Kitâb-ı Mihr Mah”, which was written in 1770 in the gregorian calendar/1183 in the hegira calendar and inform about the story.
