ORTAOKUL TÜRKÇE DERS KİTABI (5, 6, 7 VE 8. SINIF) ETKİNLİKLERİNİN DİL BECERİLERİNE DAĞILIMI ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME

Özet

The aim of this research is to evaluate the activities in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade Turkish textbooks in terms of the distribution of language skills. For this purpose, 1094 activities in four Turkish textbooks were examined with the scanning model, one of the qualitative research designs. The activities were associated with the appropriate ones among listening, speaking, reading and writing, taking into account the explanations and content in the instruction. If there are more than one skill-oriented or progressive activities, the dominant skill area has been considered. The data obtained through document analysis were evaluated with descriptive analysis. The distribution rates of the activities at each grade level by language skills are presented in tables. Accordingly, the vast majority of activities at each grade level are related to reading skills (f = 612). This is followed by writing (f = 221), listening (f = 165) and speaking (f = 96), respectively. As a result of the research, it was determined that the activities in Turkish textbooks did not show a balanced distribution in terms of language skills. The language skill that is most emphasized is reading. Speaking, on the other hand, is the least used language skill in activities compared to reading, writing and listening.
