FİNLANDİYA TATAR AYDINI HASAN HAMİDULLA (1900-1988): HAYATI VE ESERLERİ

Özet

Towards the end of the 19th century, the Tatar merchants from the Nijniy Novgorod province of Russia visited Finland temporarily for their commercial aims. However, some of them decided to settle down in Finland later on. The Finland Tatar Community today is the descendants of these merchants. Their current population is approximately six hundred. Tatars, who have lived for more than one hundred years in Finland, tried to sustain their language and culture with many important activities. The most important of these is the publication activities of some Tatar intellectuals in Finland. These intellectuals published many books, booklets, and journals on religious and national issues in order to preserve their culture. Hasan Hamidulla is the most important of these intellectuals. The biography of Hasan Hamidulla is given in the present paper. Besides, the list of his works from different genres is presented with some sample pages from the works. The aim of the paper is to attract the attention of the researchers to Hasan Hamidulla and his works.
