TÜRKÇE DERSİ KİTAPLARINDAKİ ETKİNLİKLERİN YARATICI DÜŞÜNME BECERİSİNE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Özet

In this study, creative thinking activities placed on Turkish textbooks are examined from the quantity and quality perspectives. The document review method was used. In the scope of the research, Turkish textbooks were examined from one book by each 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Books were chosen by the random assignment method. Content analysis of the books was made. Creative thinking skill activities that were placed in the books and the related language skills were determined. Results showed that different grades’ Turkish textbooks contain different numbers of creative thinking activities. Furthermore, the distribution of creative activities regarding language skills is not consistent. It is determined that the activities in Turkish textbooks are similar to each other and there are usually same types of activities after the texts. In the study increasing number of activities that support students’ idea generation, flexible thinking, and coming up with unique ideas is suggested.
