3-4 YAŞ ÇOCUKLARI İÇİN 21. YY. BECERİLERİ ÖLÇEĞİ (DAY-1): GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Özet

The aim of this research is to develop a measurement tool for the 21st century skills of 3-4 year old children and to reveal the validity and reliability results. The draft scale was given its final form by taking into account the process followed in the scale development studies (scanning the literature, creating the item pool, giving the draft scale to the experts, determining the construct validity). In order to determine the construct validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was performed with data obtained from 434 children in the 3-4 age group and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with data obtained from 416 children. In the study, SPSS, AMOS 24 and R program LAVAAN package were used to analyze the data. As a result of EFA, 31 items remained in the scale and these items were gathered under two factors: Life and Career Skills and Learning and Innovation Skills (4Cs). As a result of the CFA, the scale which consists of 28 items was determined to be theoretically and statistically appropriate by using the values such as RMSEA, CFI, TLI and WRMSR. Looking at Cronbach Alpha (α) values for determining reliability, it was calculated as .97 for Learning and Innovation Skills (4Cs) dimension and .92 for Life and Career Skills dimension. Cronbach Alpha (α) score of one-dimensional of the scale was calculated as a high value such as .97. It has been demonstrated that DAY-1 scale is a valid and reliable scale consisting of 28 items and two-dimensional structure.
