DEDE KORKUT KİTABINDAKİ BİR SÖZCÜKTEN (BOY) HAREKETLE “BO, BU, ABO, ABU…” SESLENME ÖGELERİNİN YAPISI

Özet

The Book of Dede Korkut is considered as the most prominent work of the Turkish philology by domestic and foreign researchers. There are 12 epic stories each called “boy” (tribe) in the work. The epic stories contain essentially information about the life, belief, fights and history of Oghuz Turks. The Book of Dede Korkut is of great value with the abundant words, idioms, quotes, proverbs, prayers, curses, compliments, swearwords, satires…included. The Book of Dede Korkut has created resource to identify plenty of words and phrases, that is unknown and of little us today. This essay explains the origin and structure of vocatives “bo”, “bu”, “abo”, “abu…” that is put forward different ideas about the origin and structure up to today with reference to the word “boy (tribe)” that is available in The Book of Dede Korkut and used as an vocative item.
