Özet

The using of reading strategies expresses a significant process in terms of providing information on how to approach the text. Understanding of what is read is regarded as a period including the active and complex processes. Researchers has determined that there is a substantive corelation between the level of using the reading strategies and the comprehension of reading. Reading strategies included in metacognitive skills signify the process in which the skills of the students stand out. Considering that there is a strong correlation between reading strategies and the comprehension of readnig, the using of reading strategies, especially in the areas in which the comprehension skills are mostly shaped such as literary teacher, stands a significant skill. In this study, the level of using reading strategies of the preservice Turkish Language and Literature teachers have been examined. It has been modelled in examination and raster pattern.
