Abstract
THE EVALUATION OF STORY TEXTS IN TURKISH COURSE BOOKS IN TERMS OF SUPER STRUCTURE
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the story texts in Turkish course books in terms of super structure. This research is a descriptive study that is carried out by making use of qualitative data collecting techniques in the survey method. The sample of the study is Turkish course books using in Hatay 5th grade Ada publications, 6th grade Doku publications, 7th grade Koza publications and 8th grade Enderun publications. “Superstructure elements scale for story texts ” was used as data collecting tool. This scale forms from eight dimension comprise of 1. characters, 2. place, 3.time, 4.introduction, 5.plot, 6. 7.result, 8.narrator types. According to the findings obtained in research, it was established that there are important deficiencies in super structure arrengement of story texts in the Turkish course books.
