Abstract
THE IRONY OF SPACE: BIR DELILER EVININ YALAN YANLIS ANLATILAN KISA TARIHI
The act of laughing gives victory against to fear thanks to disregard limit. Hosting ridiculous elements, the one part of humorous texts in which reality is perceived as a game is only featured as humour, the other part is featured as criticism. The irony covered by the humour has a jarring base that refers to reality beneath the text by telling backward. Deficiencies/problems in the seguence of individual-society-institution in ironic text are criticised by reflecting through hallusion.
Ayfer Tunc who stimulates individuals and community with mirror along the way that can’t seen crusted wounds, is one of the Turkish literature’s original artists with stories and novels after 1989. Author’s work named as Bir Deliler Evinin Yalan Yanliş Anlatilan Kisa Tarihi that resembles medieval folk festivals is fictionalized around the laughing item in the dynamic structure of time and space. The Turkish society panorama from 1800 to the present day is drawn in multiplying horizantally and vertically dimensions in a coordinate plane and growing exponentially. Social irony and losts are questioned in narration that is a sample of a carnival novel in which the boundaries are abolished and roles are changed.
In this study, ironic discourse centered in space that is the fundamental elements of novel will be examined. In insane- not insane dialectic, the grotesque imagery that offer continuity as extinction and beginings in the chain of links in questioning and the irony of experinced disintegration and exinction from individual to community in Turkish geography will be analyzed.
