Ormon Han is one of the most important heroes of 19th century Kyrgyz history. The Kyrgyz people were under the pressure of the Russian Empire, the Chinese and the Hokand Khanate. Orman Khan has struggled for independence for his people and independence for the future but has not succeeded. Some of the Kyrgyz people, who came together politically in the period of Orman Khan centuries later, adopted the rule of the Russian Empire, not the Orman Khan’s. Because of this, the Russian Empire easily seized the territory of Kyrgyzstan. In the novel “Han Ormon” by Japarkul Toktonaliyev, Ormon Khan, introduced as a feudal and cruel ruler during the period of Russian Empire and Soviet Union, acquits in literary art. The author wants to prove that Orman Khan is a true people's leader who has fought for the independence and future of the Kyrgyz people. The author frequently applies to official documents when defeating Ormon Khan's activities and events of the period. The removal of such novels in Kyrgyz literature contributes to the development of national consciousness in the country.
