Abstract
KOMITAJ AND GANGS IN BALKANIA: AN EVALUATION ON THE ARGUMENTS MADE IN THE 11. CONSTITUTIONAL PERIOD ASSEMBLY AND SOLUTION PROPOSALS
The komitaj and gangs in the Balkanians in the 19. Century increased the fights in that region because of national and denominationl reasons. These fights stopped for a certain period after the 11. Constitution was declared. Solution proposals and their ways were discussed in the National Assembly in that period. The non-muslim congressmen’s proposals and their arguments among themselves were very striking. The Minister of internal affairs answered the proposal made to the assembly at that time. The muslim and non-muslim congressmen of that region also informed the assembly about the events in the region.
This issue has been researched by evaluating the offical reports of the assembly and by other sources. After the declaration of the 11. Constitution this issue was discussed in three sessions in a free environment. The issue and the politics applied were discussed thoroughly and the solution proposals were evaluated in these sessions.
