Abstract
EXAMINATION OF SATISFACTION WITH SACRIFICE IN MARRIAGE IN THE CONTEXT OF RELATIONAL AUTHENTICITY AND MARITAL SATISFACTION
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between sacrifice with satisfaction and relational authenticity and marital satisfaction in married individuals. The participants of the study were 216 (% 68.6) female and 99 (%31.4) male. Satisfaction with Sacrifice Scale, Relational Authenticity (Authenticity Sub-Scale), Marital Satisfaction Scale and Personel Information Form were used to collect data for this study. For the data analyzing, descriptive statistic and structural equaliton modeling (SEM) with path analysis were conducted with SPSS 21 and Lisrel 8.51. It is revealed that ther are significant positive relationship between satisfaction with sacrifice, relational authenticity and marital satisfaction. According to SEM results, perceived satisfaction with sacrifice is predicted by relational authenticity and also marital satisfaction is predicted by satisfaction with sacrifice. These findings were discussed under the light of marital relationship and cultural characteristics in context. Implications and suggestions were also discussed for future research.
