Abstract
WITHIN PROFESSION CHOICE: PARENTAL ATTITUDE AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION
attitudes towards teaching profession in terms of various variables constitutes the research purpose of this study. This is a quantitative research and designed as survey model. The study group constitutes 331 senior high school students. According to the research result senior high school students’ parental attitudes average score is 3.72 out of 5 and teaching profession attitudes average score is 3.42 out of 5. Female students’ parental attitudes is found higher than male students. Students’ who will choose teaching as a profession the attitudes towards teaching profession is higher than who won’t choose theaching as profession. As the respect to teaching profession increases, the attitute towards teaching profession increases. According to the last research result there is no significant relationship between parental attitude level and teaching profession attitudelevel of senior high school students. (p>.05).
