Abstract
COMPARING THE TEXTBOOKS OF TEACHING TURKISH AND ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN TERMS OF LEARNING DOMAINS
The aim of this research is to compare the textbooks used in teaching Turkish and English to foreigners in terms of learning domains. In this context, Yeni Hitit Turkish for Foreigners Course Book B1-2 and Efekta General English Course Books were determined as research sample. Documentary analysis within the qualitative methods was used in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data. As a result of the research, it is found that the number of activities for reading and writing skills in Yeni Hitit Turkish for Foreigners Course Book is more than the number of activities for narrative expression, listening and speaking skills. In addition, in Efekta General English Course Books, there are more activities to improve the skills of speaking, listening and narrative expression.
