A FATHER WHICH INTEGRATED HOUSE WITH DREAMS: SCHIZOPHRENIC STATE IN AHMET MUHİP DIRANAS’ PLAY NAMED GÖLGELER (THE SHADOWS)
Gölgeler, one of the three plays of Ahmet Muhip Dıranas, better known as a poet, focuses on the inner journey of a Schizophrenic Father he puts in the center. The game in a house is not only naming their characters but also naming them with their social roles. Thus, these lives, which become the “shadow” in the Father’s mind, combined with the burden of the unforgettable memories, forming the world’s decor in the Father’s inner world. This decor has a different structure with the appearance of schizophrenic states. In this article, the inner journey of the father, the game hero, will be examined from a text-centric perspective.
