Abstract
INVESTIGATION OF NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION BEHAVIORS OF TURKISH TEACHERS
The aim of this study is to reveal the nonverbal communication behaviors of Turkish teachers working in secondary schools according to gender and professional experience. In this descriptive study, scanning model was used. The universe of the research consists of 316 Turkish teachers working in the secondary schools in the central districts of Erzurum in the 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study is 250 Turkish teachers working in these schools. Data were collected by using questionnaire technique. Chi-square test was used to analyze the data. According to the findings, it is concluded that Turkish teachers are using many nonverbal communication behaviors. In addition, it was determined that some of these behaviors showed a significant difference according to gender and professional experience.
