Abstract
INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SOCIAL VALUES PERCEPTION AND CRITICAL THINKING STANDARDS FROM THE GUIDANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING DEPARTMENT STUDENTS
The main purpose of this research is to examine the guiding teacher social perception and critical thinking standards in terms of different variables and to investigate whether there is a relationship between them or not. In this research that is designed as the relational survey model, Multidimensional Social Values Scale and Critical Thinking Standards Scale for Teacher Candidates are used to collect the data. The sample of the researcher is composed of 305 guiding teacher candidates studying in Psychological Counseling and Guidance in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes in the fall semester of 2017-2018 academic year in an Educational Faculty located in Eagean region. According to the the research results there is significantly low level correlation in negative way between critical thinking standards and social value perceptions. (r = -, 332 and p<0.001) of the students. Also it is obtained that the class level and gender are significant variables in determining value perceptions; so as the father education level in determining the critical thinking standards.
