Abstract
ON POSTERIOR LANGUAGE UNITS USED AS GRADATION CODER IN TURKEY TURKISH
Posterior language units can also be used in Turkish for to grade some semantic features like time, status, style, quality etc. and to show their distinctions according to each other such as superiority, similarity and equilibrium etc. The posterior language units have been rigged with almost unlimited authorisations in language system. Some of them lexicalize for new concepts and some connect language units. So they endeavour for the proper use of the language and the establishment of competent communication. The posteriors subject to this study can apply to the grading by comparing when they are performing their semantic functions. As a result of the comparison, they can load increasing or decreasing similarity, superiority, equilibrium, equality meanings to the base they come to. Today many simple or compound posteriors in the declension category, conjugation category, or derivation category like {-AgAn}, {-CA}, {-CIl}, {-DAn}, {-mAn}, {-msI}, {-sI}, {-ş} etc. serve to the system as “gradation coder” in Turkey Turkish.
