Abstract
THE VIEWS RELATED TO LISTENING EDUCATION OF TURKISH LANGUAGE TEACHER CANDIDATES
The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of Turkish language teacher candidates about Listening Education course that they took during their undergraduate education. Screening method was used in the research. The study group consisted of 24 teachers candidates studying at the Department of Turkish Education at Fatih Education Faculty. The data of the study were collected by semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique. As a result of the research, a large number of Turkish language teacher candidates want to have sample practices that they need in their professional life rather than theoretical knowledge. Most of the candidates have found themselves to be quite sufficient in terms of theoretically. However, it was determined that they had concerns about the practices they would undertake in the teaching process. It has been found that especially the final year students stated that they had problems at their internship experiences and therefore, this course should be applied mainly.
