Abstract
A PSYCHOMITHOLOGICAL APPROACH TO LEYLA ERBIL’S OLD LOVE STORY
Psychomitology is an interdisciplinary field of study designed to provide data to each other in the scientific, intellectual and academic fields of psychology and mythology. The science of psychology has frequently applied to mythology both in forming its terminology and in explaining the symbolic events and complex complexes it encounters in analyzing the unconscious of human nature; mythical stories. In this study, the behavior patterns of the heroes in Leyla Erbil’s Old Dear story were compared with the mythological stories and thus, the psycho-sociocultural syntheses were reached by analyzing the psychological characteristics of the heroes and the underlying causes of the behavior. These psychomithological inferences which help to form different perspectives in the analysis of the multi-layered structure of the literary work and in the analysis of texts; It also allows the cultural, cultural and metaphorical discourse of the works to be followed.
