Abstract
TOP 50 ARTICLES ON THE ISSUE OF CURSIVE ITALIC HANDWRITING IN TURKEY
One of the main aims of teaching Turkish is to teach literacy. Teaching literacy in Turkey is performed by using cursive italic handwriting and upright basic writing. One of the most frequently discussed issues in the literature is the type of writing technique that should be used in the first literacy teaching. In this study it is aimed to evaluate the scientific production in cursive italic handwriting literature in Turkey by determining the top 50 most cited articles related to education in cursive italic handwriting. The bibliometric technique was used in the study. Bibliometrics is a technique that enables the determination of journals, researchers and articles that guide the study fields with various statistical methods. In this context, the major 50 articles related to cursive italic handwriting listed in the Google Scholar database were analyzed using bibliometric analysis method. The study was structured in the form of meta-analysis of quantitative research designs. In the study, SPSS 22 package program was preferred with Publish or Perish 6 (PoP) software for data collection and analysis. In the light of the results obtained, the most cited study in the literature belongs to Erol Duran and Hayati Akyol (2010). Most research was published in 2011-2015. In the literature, opinion determination researches have been determined to be intense. Most contributors to the literature are labeled Gazi University and the Ministry of National Education.
