Abstract
INVESTIGATION OF 7th GRADE STUDENTS’ LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT ON THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND SOCİETY LEARNİNG SPACE IN SOCIAL STUDIES IN TERMS OF SOME VARIABLES
The aim of this study is located in the seventh grade social studies in Turkey, "Science, Technology and Society" of the students in the learning space that is to determine what level of academic achievement in terms of different variables. Research is done with scanning model of the quantitative research methods. The data collection tool as students' academic achievement, academic achievement test and obtain the data were used; gender, parental education level, in terms of place of residence and family income level variables were examined as to what level. In conclusion Science, Technology and Society in the learning that students are at an intermediate level of academic achievement, academic average of gender and mother's level of education has been shown to be statistically significant effect. In addition, parental education level of academic achievement than students with elementary and middle school students who have been found to be significantly higher than students living in the village of academic average student living in the city. In terms of family income is under $ 1501 Turkish Lira for students' academic success, were found to be significantly higher than students with low income.
