Abstract
THE TURKISH COURSE CURRICULUM IN TERMS OF VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT
In the research, it is aimed to evaluate the Turkish Course Curriculum in terms of the enrichment of vocabulary. In order to achieve this goal, the explanations and objectives of the Turkish Course Curriculum regarding the general objectives, approach, learning teaching process were examined. The research was carried out in accordance with the qualitative approach. The data source of the research is the Turkish Course Curriculum updated in 2019. Data related to Turkish Course Curriculum was collected by document analysis technique. The data obtained were subjected to descriptive and content analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that there is a general- objectives statement about enrichment the vocabulary in Turkish Course Curriculum. The approach applied in the curriculum requires a student-centered and active participation-based process in vocabulary teaching. There are objectives in all language arts / skills to enrichment of vocabulary. However, it was observed that the related objectives were mostly concentrated in the skills of reading and writing learning. In addition, it is also important to that find objectives continue from primary school to the end of middle school.
