Abstract
ADAPTATION OF TEACHERS’ CREATIVITY NURTURING BEHAVIOR SCALE INTO TURKISH: A STUDY OF VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY
The aim of this study is to adapt the teachers' fostering creativity behavior scale into Turkish. 165 teachers participated in the study. Appropriate application steps were followed in the adaptation process of the scale. The Turkish scale consists of 15 items and 4 dimensions. 15-item and 4-dimensional structure was obtained by making the exploratory factor analysis. The scale explains 65.084% of the total variance. through using confirmatory factor analysis and structure validity were examined to determine whether or not the four dimensions in scale have similarity in Turkish teachers. As a result of Comfirmative Factor Analysis (CFA) analysis the scale indicated compatible with the original scale’s results. The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient for the whole scale was calculated as .931. According to the results of the study, the Turkish version of the teachers' creativity nurturıng behavior scale (TCNBS) can be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine teachers' creativity fostering behavior.
