Abstract
“TULPAR” OF NIKOLOZ BARATASHVILI IN GEORGIAN ROMANTISM
In Europe of the 18th century, the intellectuals considered the “wisdom” as the most important feature of human beings. The philosophers, academics and politicians of the period took steps to reshape societies and direct the world with their works based on thought. When a periodic evaluation is made, it is remarkable that poets, writers, painters, sculptors, musicians and architects work on the shaping ideals of enlightenment in the cultural sense. These studies initiated with the influence of romanticism will take their place in all world literatures in time. Despite his short life, Nikoloz Baratashvili (1817-1845), who brought Georgian Romanticism to the top, will be introduced to the literary work Tulpar Turkish for the first time with this article.
In the research; First of all, Romanticism movement through the art of Nikoloz Baratashvili, an artist of the period he lived, in the light of the developments of the age, the basic variables of modern Georgian society and the basic dynamics of Georgian Romanticism and modernism were examined in the context of sociological examination method. Afterwards, a study on the period and art of the poet will be made, and a literary review will be made on his poem named Tulpar, translated by Hasan Çelik in 2020, and in this context, to introduce Nikoloz Baratashvili, who is the keystone of the Romance era in Georgian Literature, to the Turkish reader, literary personality, art, short literature Tulpar’s poem will be evaluated over his life in Georgian and its Turkish translation.
