Abstract
HANDİ AND ITS UNKNOWN POEMS FROM LATEST DIVAN POETS
Handi, who was born in Eski Zagra, was born in XIXth century lived. There is no information about his biography in the sources yet. Information about him is obtained from his works. He is a poet who wrote many works. Two Divans and one Divançe of Handi have been published so far. Adhering to the tradition of classical Turkish literature in terms of content and form, Handi wrote all his poems in aruz prosody and traditional verse forms. In his poems, mystical themes are predominant, but there are also poems that deal with the beauty of women and love. Handi, who has many Persian poems, draws attention with the diversity and richness of his style. In addition to his poems that are incomprehensible and loaded with metaphors, he also exhibits expressions close to the daily spoken language. In our study, after giving information about Handi and his literary personality, the translated texts of his twenty-seven poems, which are not included in his published poems, are included. The manuscript, which is registered under the name of Hendi Divanı in Edirne Selimiye Manuscript Library and with the fixture number 22 Sel 942, consists of eleven leaves. At the end of the study, a facsimile of the sample leaves of the manuscript containing the identified poems of Handi has been added.
