Abstract
THE APPEARANCES OF PRONOUNS AND DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVE AS AN ANAPHORIC ELEMENT IN ATEBETÜ'L-HAKAYIK
Texts have a position as a source for many disciplines both as witnesses of the period in which they were created and as concrete language data. Just as the randomly arranged linguistic elements are not a sentence, the randomly put together sentences cannot be a text. It is necessary to provide a harmony and integrity in terms of coherence and cohesion elements between the phrases and sentence sequences that constitute the text. One of the necessary elements to ensure cohesion is anaphoras. Anaphoras are important elements that show the in-text relationships of language elements. In this study, personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns and demonstrative adjectives, which are used as anaphoric elements in Atebetü'l-Hakayık were determined and the contribution of these elements to the establishment and cohesion of the text was tried to be seen. In the work, it has been observed that the demonstrative adjectives in the construction of the adjective phrase and the suffixed / unaffixed forms of the pronouns refer to elements of different structures in the form of words, phrases and sentences. This variety also shows the place of demonstrative adjectives and pronouns in providing qualities such as fluency and word saving, which are decisive criteria in expression.
