Abstract
FATIMA STORY AND LANGUAGE FEATURES
It is known that studies on old Oghuz Turkish texts have reached a remarkable number. Based on these texts, comparative studies have been carried out between Old Oghuz Turkish, Ottoman Turkish and present-day Turkish. Furthermore, although there are no audio recordings belonging to the Old Oghuz Turkish period, studies on the dialects of the period were carried out based on the available information and the published texts.
In this period, it is thought that the dialect features will be identified easily in the works written for the public without any artistic orientation. Hikâye-i Fâtıma, one of the folk tales that has an important place among the works of nature, constitutes the subject of the present study. In this study, after brief information about folk tales,four copies of the text will be compared, the story will be summarized the text will be evaluated in terms of sound and morphology. Furthermore, the translated transcript will be available at the end of the study.
