Abstract
COMPARISON OF THE LITERACY TEXTBOOKS PREPARED NORMAL DEVELOPMENT AND SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS
In the current study, similarities and differences between the literacy textbooks prepared for 1st-grade students with normal development and for having learning disability were investigated. The study employed a qualitative descriptive research approach and used the document analysis method. The textbooks were analyzed in terms of visuals, layout, content and measurement and evaluation methods through content analysis. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the book prepared for students with special education needs more visual structure than the other. In literacy book prepared for students with normal development, immediately after the stage of sensing the sound, it is necessary to pass to the stage of reading and writing the letter; In the book prepared for students in need of special education, the error was encountered in the letter representation of first lowercase and then uppercase letters.
