Abstract
TEACHING TURKISH LANGUAGE TO FOREIGNERS TEXTBOOKS IN TERMS OF ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
ln research, it was aimed to evaluate the textbooks of teaching Turkish to foreigners according to various criteria in terms of assessment and evaluation. In obtaining qualitative data of the research, documents analysis and phenomenology, which are among the qualitative research designs, were used, and the scanning model was used in obtaining the quantitative data. Therefore, the “multiple (mixed) method” was used in the research, which allows the use of qualitative and quantitative methods together. Gazi, Yedi İklim, Istanbul and Izmir Turkish teaching sets are the first sample of the research; surveyed 75 and 8 lecturrs interviewed constitute the second sample of the study. As a result of the research, there are deficiencies in Turkish teaching sets in the context of assessment and evaluation, such as the number of exercises, types of exercises and their frequency of use and their distribution to language skills; It has been determined that field experts do not find themselves competent in assessment and evaluation, and they have difficulties in preparing questions for some language skills and in the process of assessment and evaluation.
