Proverbs are as old as the history of language, which is a common agreement and communication system, and they are born and developed within the oral tradition. In the written tradition, the first examples of Turkish proverbs are found in the Orkhon Monuments, one of the oldest texts. The fact that some of these examples are still alive in Kyrgyz Turkish, which is one of the dialects of the Turkish language, albeit with some changes, shows the importance of the said dialect. It is equally important to examine the Kyrgyz proverbs that have carried our common cultural heritage and value judgments to the present day. In this study, the male image reflected in the Kyrgyz proverbs was discussed and the themes of the social representation of the Kyrgyz man were tried to be determined. With the scanning method, 545 proverbs with male and male-pointing words were divided into 5 groups and examined. With this grouping, it is aimed to reveal the place of man in Kyrgyz proverbs in Kyrgyz society.
