Abstract
EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF TEACHERS IN THE TURKISH TEACHING APPLICATIONS FOR FOREIGNERS IN TERMS OF CREATING CULTURAL AWARENESS IN THE CLASSROOM
The aim of this study is to investigate in terms of creating cultural awareness of teacher during the process of creating cultural awareness in classroom. Within the scope of the aim of the study, unstructured observation intended for applications in classroom. In this study “Unstructured Observation Form” is used.
This research has a qualitative design. In the study case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods, is used. This study is applied in Ataturk University DİLMER, Çukurova University TÖMER, Gazi University TÖMER, Gaziantep University TÖMER and Istanbul University DİLMER as five Turkish teaching centres. The content method analysis is used to analyse gathered qualitative data.
In consequence of the study, it is observed that teachers give various cultural elements in classroom. Practices for cultural awareness of teachers vary according to Turkish teaching centres.
