Intellectual and spiritual phenomenon of religion and mysticism an important role in shaping the structure, at the same time, a factor in forming the culture of societies. In other words, belief holds an important place in people’s live. Religion and mysticism have special place in social life, are subject of many novels in the art world. Afet (Muhteremoğlu) Ilgaz who is one of the writer of the Turkish literature in the Republican period give wide range of subjects religion and mysticism in her novels. In this study, religious and mystical elements in the novels of Afet Ilgaz mentioned issues with emphasis on the author's approach were given.
