Özet
The aim of this study is to determine the multiple indicators required to be included in the assessment of teachers’ performance process and to investigate the self- evaluation results of teachers and administrators. The representative sample of the present study consists of the teachers and administrators working at state schools in Merkez district, Çanakkale. The multiple indicators for the assessment of teachers’ performance process were identified through one open-ended question. Moreover, through ‘Teachers’ Performance Assessment Scale’ developed by the researcher, the self- evaluation results of teachers and administrators were gathered. For the analysis of the obtained data, percentage, frequency, Anova, and Tukey test statistical methods were used. It was found that the teachers and administrators preferred ‘Self-evaluation’ in the assessment of teachers’ performance process and ‘Self-evaluation + Student + School Administration’ was the appropriate multiple indicator for the assessment of teachers’ performance process. Statistically significant differences were found between gender and seniority variables in the self- evaluation results of teachers and administrators.
