In this present study, some contribution shall be made to the Derleme Sözlüğü (Compilation Glossary) from the province Osmaniye, the district Düziçi. It has been determined in this present study that some of the words collected from various places of Düziçi are not present in the Derleme Sözlüğü (Compilation Glossary) and some of them are used with different meanings in different regions. This study has appeared in order to make up this deficiency. The words having been collected here are the words which have been noted down for approximately ten years during the speech of people in different times and places and whose meanings have been asked. The words having been given here are also the words, most of which are known and used by us and have still been used livingly in a spoken language by the people around us. However, since the obtained words are high in number, it has been found suitable to evaluate them in two publications. In this present publication, the words until “I” and their meanings have been given. The vocabulary collected from Düziçi has been given by being classified as nouns, verbs, reduplications, idioms and idiomized expressions.
