In our literature, historical novels were generally expected to remain connected to the events written in historical documents. With postmodernism, history science has begun to be questioned. The idea that historical documents cannot fully reflect the truth is started to look for alternative ways. At this stage, historical novels have also changed. Many elements from popular novels have changed the traditional historical novels. The most influential of these species is the fantastic novel from Western literature. Werewolves, vampires, dragons, magic objects and so on figures have been used in historical novels. One of the most important features of the new historical novels is the rise on the old Turkish mythology and epics. Especially the lives of Central Asian Turks are widely used in these novels. Thus, by combining the ancient Turkish culture with the fantastic, it created historical fantasy novels.
