Özet

The article is devoted to the life, socio-political and scientific activity of Leon Krichinsky (1887-1939), one of the statesmen of the Azerbaijan Republic, as well as studies the origins and history of the Polish Tatars, and the creation of mutual scientific and cultural relations of this small Turkish ethnos with the Turkic World in Eastern Europe. L. Krichinsky began his social-political activity and historical-philological researches during his studies at the University of Petersburg. There he founded the Tatar students association, which united his compatriots in Petersburg. L.Krichinsky who wrote several works under the pseudonym of Arslan Bey, left indelible trace in the history of Azerbaijan Republic and Polish-Azerbaijani - Tatar literary-cultural and public-political relations in the early 20th century.
