1918 YILININ İLK YARISINDA AHILKELEK KAZASINDA TÜRK-MÜSLÜMAN NÜFUSA KARŞI ETNİK TEMİZLİK OLGULARI VE SONUÇLARI: GÖYYE VE HOSBİYE KATLİAMLARI

Özet

In the early 1918`s, as in most South Caucasian uyezds (administrative subdivisions), the inter-ethnic relations reached an unbearable level in the Akhalkalaki uyezd, which has different ethnic content. The Armenian villages of this region were armed under the name of self-defense forces and these armed groups carried out the massacres against the local Turkish-Muslim population. The first terrible massacre was committed against the innocent and unprotected population of the great Turkish-Karapapak village Goyye (Kokia) at the beginning of March, 1918. The Dashnaks surrounded the village by siege and killed children and women with bayonets and took the survivors hostage. Approximately after three months of the Goyye massacre, Armenian armed groups took over the entire population of Khospia (Hosbiye) village and expelled them to Akhalkalaki uyezd center and brutally slaughtered them after a while. In the article, the facts and results of the massacre against the Turkish-Muslim population in the Akhalkalaki uyezd in the first half of 1918 were included in the scientific circulation and carried out research with reference to Georgian and Armenian sources.
