After the Industrial Revolution, people, who increase their absolute dominance over nature, begin to use the environment in their own interest. However, the negative results encountered cause changes in the perception of the environment. In the light of these changes, from the end of the XIX century, the scientific perspective develops in the way of approaching the environment. With the new perspective, it is accepted that humans are a part of nature, not the ruler of it, like other living creatures. Examining the relationship between the environment and literary texts, the theory of ecocriticism becomes widespread after the new environmental approach. In this study, the stories of Sezai Karakoç are examined in the context of ecocritical theory. Nature emerges with the feature that constitutes the essence of the individual in Sezai Karakoç's stories. Detachment from nature essentially means moving away from the essence. People who cannot identify with nature, who try to hold on to the city by leaving it, have to experience their depression in stories. At the same time, unconscious destruction of nature negatively affects animals. Negative attitudes and behaviors developed by animals towards people are among the messages that Sezai Karakoç wants to give through nature.
