Infinitive suffixes, which attach to verbs to create abstract nouns, nominalize them, and assign various roles within sentences, have been addressed in numerous works from both semantic and syntactic perspectives. In the semantic approach, while addressing the characteristic of infinitives as permanent nominalizers, the syntactic approach discusses the necessity of supervisory actions for infinitive-embedded complements in Turkish and, as a result, the co-reference relationship between the infinitive-embedded subordinate clause and the main clause. This study aims to analyze how the - (U)w infinitive is used in context in Kazakh comparing its functions. The position of the -(U)w infinitive within sentences, its harmony with case and possessive suffixes, the meanings it contributes to sentences, and the verbs it combines with—including how it interacts with other grammatical and lexical elements in the sentences-will be analyzed comprehensively in this work.
