The jumps of thirds in soprano, tenor, and bass parts within Classical Russian harmony represent a critical yet underexplored technique in Turkish classical harmony textbooks. This technique is essential for diversifying melodic lines and enhancing the richness of chord transitions. It significantly contributes to resolving stabilization challenges in soprano parts, bringing fluidity to the melody while its application in both close and open voicings offers flexibility in harmonic structuring. Employing document analysis as a qualitative research method, this study examines the utilization and benefits of this technique with a detailed analysis of the data. The findings highlight the necessity of incorporating this technique into Turkish harmony education materials and emphasize its broader implementation in harmony classes. This technique holds substantial potential for expanding its practical application in harmony education in Turkey.
